The journey began in the early 1990s when Smt. Paidisetty Indira, along with her husband, started producing spices in small batches with the support of just a few local women. Driven by a passion for quality and traditional taste, the founders built the brand brick by brick, earning the trust of households throughout the region.

Our Mission
Today, Jayaguru Spices stands among Odisha's leading spice manufacturers and is recognized as one of the state's largest Garam Masala brands. What started as a small home-grown venture has evolved into a modern spice manufacturing enterprise spread across a 20,000+ sq. ft. facility, supported by a network of 15+ super stockists and more than 500 distributors across Odisha.
Our manufacturing facility combines traditional expertise with modern technology. Equipped with semi-automatic processing systems, cold-processing techniques, and advanced pneumatic packaging machines, the plant ensures that the natural aroma, freshness, and flavour of every spice are preserved from production to packaging.
Every batch of Jayaguru spices goes through a 3-step quality check: the raw spices are sun-dried, hand-sorted to remove impurities, and then ground fresh in small batches. We seal and pack within 24 hours of grinding to lock in the volatiles that make spices actually taste like spices.

The First Grind & Recipe Creation
It all began in a humble kitchen in Berhampur — our founder's mother hand-selected sun-dried Guntur chillies and ground them on a traditional stone chakki. The recipe was born from decades of Odia culinary wisdom, crafted with no shortcuts, no additives, and absolute devotion to flavour.
Shared with the Neighbourhood
Grandmother's legendary recipe for our signature Guntur Red Chilli Powder found its first true audience — 100 families in the neighbourhood who quickly made it a staple in their kitchens. Word spread through lanes and markets purely by taste, with zero advertising.
New Addition — Kandhamal Haldi
Responding to the trust our community placed in us, we introduced Odisha's prized Kandhamal Turmeric Powder — sourced directly from the tribal heartland of Kandhamal district, celebrated for its exceptional curcumin content above 7%. A golden addition that completed every Odia kitchen's spice shelf.
Major Expansion — The Curry Blend
Growing demand and loyal customers inspired us to go further. We spent months perfecting our 11-spice Signature Curry Powder — each spice individually roasted and stone-ground, then blended in precise ratios passed down through generations. A complex, warming blend balanced specifically for authentic Odia cuisine.
